In collaboration with the Faculty of Divinity, University of Cambridge this seminar will explore the various ways in which Brazilian evangelicals dealt with ideas of Christian unity and ecumenism between 1880-1930. The talk will include analyse on how two Brazilian evangelical leaders (the Revs Erasmo Braga and Eduardo Carlos Pereira) appropriated notions of Christian unity and collaboration in the wake of the 1910 Edinburgh
Missionary Conference and the Panama Congress of 1916.
