Prof Brian Stanley has taught in theological colleges and universities in London, Bristol, and Cambridge, and from 1996 to 2001 was Director of the Currents in World Christianity Project in the University of Cambridge. He was also Director of the Henry Martyn Centre (now CCCW) from 2001 to 2008 and joined the University of Edinburgh in January 2009.
He has written or edited several books and numerous articles, mostly in the field of the history of Christian missions. Most recently Professor Stanley’s 'Christianity in the Twentieth Century' has been chosen as one of the books most likely to shape evangelical life, thought and culture.
Published in June by Princeton University Press, the hardback has been recognised with an Award of Merit in History.
