Dr F. Lionel Young III serves as the Executive Vice President for Global Action, an international non-profit that focuses on theological education in the non-Western world. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Stirling (Scotland), a Th.M. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Illinois), a M.Div. from Grace Theological Seminary (Indiana) and a B.A. from Grace College (Indiana). Lionel’s research interests are in World Christianity, transnational evangelicalism, missions history and Christianity in East Africa. His most recent work World Christianity and the Unfinished Task: A Very Short Introduction (Cascade Books) is a popular introduction to the relationship between World Christianity and contemporary missions. He is currently working on a book-length study of the Africa Inland Mission in Kenya during decolonization to be published by the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies (Regnum).
